Originally engraved on copper plate they soon won numerous awards and were justly described as 'being prolific to the point of obscurity'. Later in the 19th century two other American globemakers, Joslin and Moore & Nims, wisely updated Copley's fine engravings in order to republish Copley's work as their own. We have now republished this fine pair of early American terrestrial and celestial globes. They are presently available in their original 16" diameter and will soon be available in larger formats.
